How this whole thing started

Born out of frustration with agencies that couldn't explain themselves.

Here's the short version. We spent years inside marketing teams watching SEO agencies hand over a 40-tab dashboard, take the retainer, and vanish. Ask them what they actually did last month? Crickets. Ask why rankings weren't moving? More crickets.

So in 2023 we started Ember Compass to be the opposite of that. Small, focused, organic-only. The kind of shop where you can text a real person and get a straight answer — not a ticket number.

We picked Okeechobee as home because it suits us: a little off the beaten path, no pretense, and plenty of quiet to do actual deep work. We serve B2B teams all over the U.S., but the writing and the strategy happen right here on Bridlewood Drive.
